Campaign links and UTM
See tagged links together and analyze each UTM parameter separately.
Add tracking parameters to links you share. The Campaign tab on the website dashboard groups visitors by the complete set of recognized parameters on each link. For example, ?ref=partner and ?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=launch appear as separate rows. The expanded Campaign report also shows attributed revenue for each tagged link.
Talivia recognizes ref, via, source, and these standard UTM parameters:
utm_source: who sent the visitor, such asgoogleornewsletter.utm_medium: how the link was distributed, such ascpc, email, orbanner.utm_campaign: the promotion or launch name, such asspring_launch.utm_content: which version of a link or ad was clicked, such ashero_buttonorfooter_button.utm_term: the paid search keyword or other term used to distinguish search ads.
Use ref, via, or source for a simple tagged link, such as ?ref=partner. The dashboard Campaign tab shows these alongside UTM tags, with parameter names in gray and values in the main text color. In the expanded report, Link tags contains separate ref, via, and source views; UTM contains the combined Campaign view and the five individual UTM fields. The individual parameter views show page views.
Referrer is the site reported by the browser. Channel is a category Talivia infers from the referrer and available tracking tags. Neither is the same as utm_source or utm_medium. A ref or via link tag appears in Campaign; it does not change the browser referrer.
Talivia also records common ad click IDs such as gclid, fbclid, msclkid, ttclid, li_fat_id, and twclid. These are not included in Campaign labels.
