What is VPN user tracking?

VPN user tracking means keeping eligible website activity connected to the same anonymous visitor when the network IP or apparent country changes. Talivia uses a first-party visitor identifier instead of treating the IP address as the person.

Can Talivia identify a person behind a VPN?

No. Talivia does not reveal a person’s real identity, physical address, or original IP. It connects activity only when the same first-party browser identifier, or a stable identifier supplied by your application, is available.

Does changing a VPN create a new visitor?

Not by itself. If the visitor returns in the same browser context and the first-party identifier remains available, a new IP or country can become another session in the existing visitor timeline.

Does Talivia detect whether someone is using a VPN?

No. A location change can come from a VPN, travel, mobile routing, a corporate network, or an ISP change. Talivia reports the observed country for the session without inventing a reason for the change.

Can VPN user tracking connect different devices or browsers?

Not from network data alone. A different browser, cleared storage, private browsing, or another device can create a separate visitor unless your application supplies a reliable account identifier after login or signup.
